Job Description
You will review translated chapters of Korean web novel series to ensure each one is polished, error-free, and ready for publishing.
Responsibilities
- Proofreading for grammar, punctuation, typos, and formatting errors
- Revising awkward or unnatural English
- Checking for consistency within the series (story terminology, character names, spelling of certain terms, etc.) against story notes
- Flagging unclear translations or confusing story elements
- Ensuring adherence to internal English Translation & Editing Guidelines
Required Qualifications
- Native-level fluency in English
- Excellent command of American English grammar and punctuation
- Strong writing and editing skills, with a good grasp of narrative tone and flow
- Professional experience in proofreading or editing
- Exceptional attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with English fiction writing and storytelling conventions
- Experience working with web novels or serialized fiction specifically
- Flexible availability (availability on weekdays, etc.)
